# ¿Cómo conectarse vía FTP en HestiaCP?

Normalmente, se accede vía **FTP** a una cuenta usando los datos de su Usuario principal, creado para cada cuenta de hosting.

Si se quisiera dar acceso FTP restringido a ciertos directorios o que solo pueda acceder vía FTP sin poder ingresar al Panel de Control, entonces tendrás que crear una **Cuenta FTP Adicional**.

Para crear una **Cuenta FTP Adicional** seguí estos pasos:

1. Ingresá al usuario que tenga la cuenta de hosting a la que quieras dar acceso FTP.\
   A la derecha del dominio de la cuenta, seleccioná el icono del **lápiz** para editarla.

2. En la pantalla de edición de la cuenta hacé clic en el botón **Opciones Avanzadas**.

3. En las opciones avanzadas de la cuenta tildá la opción que dice: **Cuenta(s) FTP adiconal(es)**.
4. Llená los datos de conexión de esta nueva cuenta FTP.\
   En **Ruta**, debes elegir el directorio al que podrá acceder esta cuenta FTP, si te interesa limitar el acceso a ciertas áreas.&#x20;
5. Haciendo clic en **Agregar cuenta FTP** podrás agregar nuevas cuentas FTP como la que estás configurando.

6. Cuando hayas terminado de configurar la nueva cuenta FTP subí al inicio de esta pantalla y presioná el botón **Guardar**, arriba a la derecha.
